Configuring the SAM-Q-SDI
The SAM-Q-SDI Configuration Menus have been split into 3 sections:
The User Menu (pages 36 and 37)
This top-level menu is available to all users of the SAM-Q-SDI.
The User Menu allows non-critical changes to be made to the system configuration such as the brightness
of the front panel displays and the ability to select Operational Modes that have been Enabled (see page
39).
The User Menu also provides information about the SAM-Q-SDI itself, including its serial number, MAC
address and software version, which you may need to provide should you need to contact TSL Support.
The User Menu also includes System Status Information including SDI, MADI and AES signal statuses.
The System Setup Menu (pages 38 to 64)
The System Setup Menu is only accessible to those users who have knowledge of the SAM-Q-SDI PIN Code.
TSL recommends that the PIN Code is only shared with those responsible for the maintaining operations
(typically System Administrators, Engineering and Support staff).
The System Setup Menu provides access to those settings and parameters that may need to be changed
occasionally, such as Operator Permissions or the assignment of audio channels to Mix Groups and
Loudness Probes.
The Advanced Setup Menu (pages 65 to 81)
The Advanced Setup Menu is only accessible to those users who have knowledge of the SAM-Q-SDI PIN
Code.
The Advanced Setup Menu provides access to those settings and parameters that may be needed very
rarely, such as Network Settings, the adding of optional licenses or the setting of the unit PIN code.
