• Keep the tool free of dust. Never use water or chemical
cleaning substances to clean the tool. Wipe only with a
clean and dry cloth.
• Always keep the air vents clean and free of any
obstruction to guarantee the right cooling of the motor.
• Regularly inspect all the fitting screws and double-check
they are properly tightened. In the event some of the
screws are loose, tighten immediately.
• The casing and the motor are the heart of a power tool.
Use extreme care to avoid oil or water spills.
• From time to time check the power cable to detect any
type of damage. If the cable is damaged make it replaced
in a Authorized Service Center.
Disconnect the plug from the outlet
before making adjustments, service or maintenance to the
tool.
• Carbons should be checked periodically. When worn
take the tool to a Authorized Service
center to have them replaced.
• After replacement ask to see if the new carbons can
move freely inside the carbon housing and to run the
motor 5 minutes to even contact between carbons and
commuter.
• Use only original spare carbons
specifically designed with the hardness and resistance
adequate for each type of motor. Carbons that are out of
specification could damage the motor.
• Both carbons should be changed simultaneously.
• Service for the tools shall only be carried out in a
Authorized Service Center.
• Service and maintenance carried out by non-qualified
people may be dangerous and could cause personal injury.
It also makes the Warranty void.
Cleaning and care
• The belt wears out due to normal use of the tool. It
should be periodically replaced:
• Remove the safety screws adjusting the belt cover.
• Remove the worn belt and use a soft brush to clean the
pulleys and the surrounding area.
• Set a new belt onto the drive pulley. Turn the belt pulley
while pushing it inwards.
• Set the belt cover back and tighten the screws.
