STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
STORAGE – Store in a dry, ventilated environment, out of sunlight and away from direct
heat sources. Do not leave in the car or under heavy items – it may lead to the protector
becoming deformed, ripped or damaged.
MAINTENANCE – Regular inspections (at least annually or in the event of a crash)should
be made of the protector itself as well as the fitting system for obvious signs of wear or
damage. If the protector is obviously worn or damaged, or if there is any doubt as to its
condition, it should be replaced immediately. D3O product may be flexed to facilitate
installation and removal but should never be distorted or folded during use, storage or
transport.
RISKS / PROTECTIVE LEVELS
These protectors, when used and worn correctly, can offer a limited protection against
impact injury in the event of falls; they can limit abrasions or bruises (in the protected
zones) caused by a fall when riding a motorcycle but can never guarantee a total safety.
The level of protection remains as long as the protectors keep their original
characteristics; therefore, it is important that no modifications be made.
