Handling and operation
In this chapter you will receive important information for the handling and opera-
tion of the device .
Charging batteries
♦
Place the device on a smooth, level and slip resistant surface .
♦
Compare the technical details with those of your power supplier . If they
match, insert the plug into a mains power socket . The LEDs glow red and
green once . The battery charger is now ready for use .

Insert the batteries into the loading slots . Press the 9 V Block batteries
into the loading slot until they audibly engage .

1 to 6 batteries can be individually charged:
- 4 x Type C or Type D in the loading slots 1 to 4
or
- 4 x Type AA or AAA in the loading slots 1 to 4 and additionally
2 x Type 9 Volt Block batteries in the loading slots 5 and 6 .

The charging process now begins . The battery charger has an LED for
each compartment in the loading slot . The LEDs of the respective
loading slots show the charge status of the individual batteries .
During the first 5 seconds the battery charger carries out a capacity test:

Should the LED of the loading slot blink red for more than 5 seconds,
then the battery is either not properly inserted into the loading slot or
it is defective .

When the battery capacity has been determined, the charging process begins .
