Text (SMS) Messages
Warning
Never attempt to read any text
message while riding the motorcycle.
It is illegal.
Attempting to read any text message
while riding the motorcycle may cause
an accident.
When the connected phone receives an
incoming text message, the My Triumph
Connectivity
Module responds by
displaying a visible notification on the
instruments and sounding an audible
notification through the rider's headset.
The audible notification uses the tone
selected on the connected phone. If the
identity of the sender is recognised, this
is included in both visible and audible
notifications.
The rider can dismiss the notification.
When the motorcycle is stationary, the
rider can view the full text of the
message, which is not available when
the motorcycle is moving.
Only text messages received since the
phone was connected are available.
To view the message in full (only
available when motorcycle is stationary):
Display the SMS tray.
Joystick up to show the full
message.
Joystick centre to dismiss
the message notification.
The display returns to the last item
accessed.
If the message is too long to be
displayed on a single display screen:
Joystick up to scroll back.
Joystick down to scroll
forward.
Joystick centre to return to
the message notification.
Notifications are enabled and disabled
through the
Notifications option (see
page 15).
