Connecting the Batteries

The UPS is shipped with the battery disconnected. The battery must be connected for the UPS to
operate. Connect the batteries to the UPS prior to connecting the UPS to AC mains, or connecting
any equipment to the UPS.
The installation procedure is as follows:

Slightly slide the battery
pack out.

Remove insulation on the
negative (-) battery terminal.

Connect the negative (-)
battery terminal to the black
battery wire.

Apply the insulation tape to
negative (-) battery terminal.

Slide the battery pack back
into the UPS.

Re-install the battery door
removed in step 2.

Reinstall the two screws
removed in step 1.
