Installing Blower Assembly
1. Place the air inlet flange and retainer ring onto
the new blower and secure with screws.
2. Mount the blower assembly onto the windbox
using the existing (4) mounting screws. Ensure
screws are tight and blower is secure.
3. Mount the new capacitor onto the windbox and
secure with the existing nut and washer.
4. Attach the wire leads to the snap-set terminals
as follows:
- Green blower lead to B4 terminal
- Tan blower lead to S3 terminal
- White capacitor lead to S3 terminal
- White capacitor lead to T2 terminal
- Black blower lead to T2 terminal
- Blue blower lead to T1 terminal
The snap-set terminal are arrange with B4 at
the top terminal followed by S3, then T2, and
finally T1.
5. Replace the snap-set cover plate and secure
with existing screws.
6. Replace the front cover plate of the windbox
and secure with the (4) existing screws.
7. Remount the burner assembly into the combus-
tion chamber. Use care not to damage the burn-
er mounting plate insulation, pilot gas tubing or
the spark ignition cable when inserting the
burner assembly into the combustion chamber.
Extreme care must be given when inserting
the burner assembly into the combustion
chamber to prevent damage to the insulation
gasket, pilot gas tubing and ignition cable.
8. Secure the burner assembly using the (2) 17mm
mounting nuts located to the left and right side
of the windbox.
Check the perimeter of the burner mounting
plate and ensure a seal exist between the
insulation gasket and the combustion cham-
ber opening.
Additional insulation on the tank body locat-
ed behind the blower assembly may need to
be remove to avoid interference.
9. Re-seat the combustion air inlet tube onto the
blower flange. Reconnect the air inlet piping to
the unit as needed.
10. Reconnect the snap-set on the right side of the
windbox.
11. Reconnect the gas supply piping to the gas
valve.
12. Open the main gas valve shut-off valve and per-
form a leak test at all gas piping connections
near the unit.
Do not check for gas leaks with an open flame.
Use a gas detector or a bubble test. Failure to
check for gas leaks can cause severe personal
injury, death or severe property damage.
13. Reconnect electrical power to the unit returning
