5. Changing the user code

- Default factory user code is
1-2-3-4.

In order to change the user code, the unit must first be in the power shut down (sleep) mode.

you must wait 20 seconds before recommencing the process.
6. Changing the battery
a.
Remove black plastic battery compartment cover (located at the base of the lock cover)
by pressing the plastic retaining latch of the cover.
b.
Allow the battery and its attached leads to drop down and out of the battery compartment.
If it does not drop, gently pull on the battery holder until it drops out.
c.
Remove the battery holder cover and remove the batteries.
CAUTION! Hold onto the battery terminal to avoid pulling the wires out of the housing.
d.
Replace with 4 x size “AA” (1,5 V)
Alkaline
batteries.
e.
Gently push the battery terminal and the leads completely into the lock housing.
f.
Re-Install the battery cover by placing one side of the cover in position first
and then gently pressing the retaining clip into place.
If an incorrect user code is input, the system will go to power shut down mode, following which

” to entering change user code mode.
