The liquid that leaks from batteries may
be a reason for irritation or
scalds.
9. When the battery unit is not in use keep it far away from metallic items such as
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, bolts or other metal things that may short the
battery terminals.
Shorts of battery terminals may cause burns or fires.
10. Never throw batteries to fireplaces.
