Operating the CHALLENGER550
The following describes the main operating features of the CHALLENGER550.

Safety information
The following safety information must be understood and observed when you operate the CHAL-
LENGER550:
The CHALLENGER550 is moving!
Serious accidents may occur if the driving speed of the CHALLENGER550 is not adjusted.
The resulting serious accidents can cause serious injuries or death.
Ensure that the driver has a secure seating position.
Adjust driving speed to traffic and driving surface conditions.
Driving direction incorrectly set!
If the driving direction is not set correctly, the CHALLENGER550 can move unintentionally in the
wrong direction and collide with or run over persons.
Collisions with or the running over of persons can cause serious injury or even death.
Check the set driving direction before driving.
Make sure that no people or objects are in the danger area or on the traffic routes.
Make sure that there is a good line of sight to all sides.
Danger of crushing!
During steering, persons can be crushed between wheel and wheel case.
The crush injuries can be life-threatening or even fatal.
Steer only if no persons are in the vicinity of the wheels.
Visual contact has to be maintained between the operator and wing walkers at all times.
Rolling CHALLENGER550!
The rolling CHALLENGER550 can collide with or run over persons.
Colliding with the rolling CHALLENGER550 can cause serious injury or death.
Make sure that no persons or objects are in the danger area or on the traffic routes.
Obey the traffic rules of the airport ramp area.
