Remote Testing
Note:
Do NOT use the TC-NT2 for live w ire testing. The TC-NT2 is fo r testing cables only.
Do not connect the T C -N T2 to an Ethernet cable that is connected to a switch,
router, computer, etc. Doing so w ill dam age the device. Ensure the cable being
tested is not connected to a live device.
RJ-45 C able
1. Connect o ne end o f a RJ-45 cable to the T C -N T2 transm itter. Connect the other
end o f the RJ-45 cable into the w all jack.
2. Connect o ne end o f a network cable to the rem ote port on the TC -N T2 remote
terminator. C onnect the other e nd o f the network cable into the patch panel in
your w iring closet.
3. Push the pow er button on the T C -N T2 transm itter to the “On” position.
4. Press the auto (autom atic) or test (m anual) button.
