6-10 Program Updating
WARNING: When updating the program on the TOUGH GUN Reamer, the power must be ON to the Ethernet module.
Please follow your facility’s lockout / tagout procedures.
Occasionally the Ethernet module may need a program update. A program update will ensure that the Reamer operates to its
fullest capability given the options it has been configured for. All the program updates can be done through the local network
and no physical interaction with the Reamer is necessary.
The following steps must be followed to update the program:
1. Download the following files from the Tregaskiss website at
www.tregaskiss.com/ReamerTT3E
(under the Software Downloads tab):
a. HMI and Update Program
b. Reamer (ver # inserted here).arg
NOTE: It is recommended that files are saved to a single location for ease of access.
2. Establish a connection to the Reamer with a computer so that the software update can occur.
3. Open up the folder where the above files were saved and then open the HMI and Update Program folder.
4. In this folder there is a file named “pg”. Open this file in a web browser that supports HTML5. (Figure 1)

Once the file loads and the web browser opens, type in the correct IP address for that Ethernet module and
click “Enter Program Mode”. (Figure 2)

The ARGEE program will load and the screen below will be present. Select the “Project” heading along the top.
This will bring you to the screen where you load the program update. (Figure 3)
