Remove Handle & Untie Cord
Pull the handle from out of the frame (Fig. 7). Untie the knot at the end of the cord (Fig. 8).
Using wrench, remove the nut (Fig. 5). Hold back placement clip to remove gear and
washer (Fig. 6).

Attach New Cord
Use a needle and thread to sew new cord with broken cord (Fig. 9). Make certain the
threading is strong and connects both cords tightly together. Make sure there is no bulges in
the connection; the two cords should look like they are one (Fig. 10).

Replacement Complete
Replacement is now complete. Test to ensure proper function.
NOTE: If there is too much slack in the cord, untie the knot beneath the hub (Fig. 19). Re-tie
the knot higher up the cord. Cut away any excess cord beneath knot.
