Install the “E” clip as shown to the right.
NOTE
: The pilot hood should not wiggle when in place.
Make sure the “E” clip is fully inserted. The
middle tab will rest against the pilot base (apex
of hexagon) as shown to the right.
If the clip is fully inserted and the hood is not
fully secure, remove the clip and use pliers to
compress the clip slightly then re-install and
verify the hood is tight.
If the clip does not insert into the slots on the
pilot base, use pliers to carefully compress the
clip while it is in place.
