CABLE GLAND USER MANUAL
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before installing the component, ensure that
•
The cable gland is not damaged.
•
The o-ring/gasket is not damaged and that the gas-
ket bearing areas are fl at.
•
The cable diameter is within the clamping area of the
sealing ring.

Installation
•
Screw gland body (4) into enclosure with a wrench.
When used in sheet metal enclosures, use lock nut
inside box. Refer list on next page for correct tighten-
ing torque.
•
Pass compression nut (1) over the cable.
•
Pass washer (2), then sealing ring (3) over the cable.
•
Carefully cut back the outer sheet of the cable as
shown on drawing.
•
Feed conductors through gland body (4). Conductors
and outer sheath goes through the connector (4) and
into enclosure.
•
Press sealing ring (3) and Washer (2) into gland body
(4) by hand.
•
Screw compression nut (1) into Connector (4) by
hand.
•
Use a wrench to tighten the compression nut (1).
Make sure the Rubber seal is tight against the cable.
Refer list on next page for correct tightening torque.
•
Pull cable to make sure it is secured in rubber seal.
