Oil
The equipment is filled with
1.4 L
of
5W30 Synthetic
oil.
First oil change should be made after 5 hours of use. Subsequent changes should be made every 25
hours or after six months, whichever is the sooner. Periodically check the oil level on the dipstick
regularly and add oil as needed.
Change the oil with the engine warm. Use the following procedure to change the oil:
1.
Open the rear hood [Fig. 35, page 12].
2.
Place a vessel underneath the oil sump drain.
3.
Remove the sump plug and let the oil run into the vessel [Fig. 36, page 12].
4.
After the oil has run out replace the sump plug.
5.
Remove the dipstick [Fig. 37, page 12], refill it with approximately
1.4 L
of oil
5W30 Synthetic
and check the oil level.
6.
Replace the dipstick and close the hood.
The amount of new oil required may vary. For best results, check the dipstick. With the lawn
mower secure on a flat surface, add oil until the oil level reaches the top line of the dipstick.
Changing the oil filter
1.
Drain the oil from the engine.
2.
Remove the oil filter [Fig. 38, page 12].
3.
Before installing the new oil filter, lightly lubricate the filter seal with clean, new oil.
4.
Manually install the oil filter, pushing until the seal comes into contact with the oil filter adapter. Then
screw in the oil filter by making a half to a three-quarter turn.
5.
Add the oil.
6.
Start the engine. While the engine heats, check for oil leaks.
7.
Stop the engine and check the oil level.
