Remove the lift handles from the backrest mount by removing 
the two 14mm bolts.

Secure the backrest support to mounting hub using the (4) 
6mm Allen bolts. You don’t need to remove the plastic cover. 
Gently slide the backrest hub between the plate and the plastic
