6.
Determine the required preparation time for your ingredients (refer to the ‘Settings’
section below for more information on how to do this.)
7.
Turn the timer dial to the required preparation time to turn on the appliance.
8.
Turn the temperature control dial to the required temperature. Refer to the ‘Settings’
section below for more information on how to determine the right temperature. Add 3
minutes to the preparation time when the appliance is cold.
Note:
If you wish, you can also let the appliance pre-heat (but not cook) without any
ingredients inside. To do this, turn the timer dial to a time longer than 3 minutes and wait
until the heating-up light goes out (after approximately 3 minutes). Once the light goes out,
fill the basket and turn the timer dial to the required preparation time.
a. The timer will start counting down the set preparation time.
b. During the hot air frying process, the working light will come on and go out from
time to time. This indicates that the heating element is being switched on and off to
maintain the set temperature.
c. Excess oil from the ingredients is collected on the bottom of the pan.
9.
Some ingredients require shaking halfway through the preparation time (refer to the
‘Settings’ section below for more information.) To shake the ingredients, pull the pan
out of the appliance by the handle and shake it. Then slide the pan back into the fryer.
Caution:
Be careful not to press the button on the handle (basket release) during shaking.
Tip:
To reduce the weight, you can remove the basket from the pan and shake it individually. To
do this, pull the pan out of the appliance, place it on a heat-resistant surface, press the button
on the handle and lift the basket out of the pan. If you set the timer to half the preparation time,
the timer bell will sound to indicate when you have to shake the ingredients. However, you will
then have to set the timer again to the remaining preparation time.
10. When you hear the timer bell, the set preparation time has elapsed. Pull the pan out of the
appliance and place it on a suitable work surface.
Note:
You can also switch off the appliance manually. To do this, turn the timer control dial to 0.
11. Check if the ingredients are ready. If the ingredients are not ready yet, simply slide the pan
back into the appliance and set the timer to a few extra minutes.
12. To remove ingredients (e.g. fries), pull the pan out of the air fryer and place it on a suitable
surface, then press the basket release button and lift the basket out of the pan. Do not
turn the basket upside down with the pan still attached to it, as any excess oil that has
collected on the bottom of the pan will leak onto the ingredients. Both the pan and
ingredients will be very hot. Depending on the type of ingredients in the fryer, steam may
escape from the pan so care is needed.
13. Empty the basket into a bowl or onto a plate.
