Preparing Your Appliance:
1. Place the base of the slow cooker on a flat, dry, heat resistant surface.
2. Before first use, fill the cooking pots with tap water to the MAX level marking
and cover them with the glass lids.
3. Plug the slow cooker on, turn the control dials to the HIGH position and allow
the appliance to heat up for approximately 20 minutes. The appliance will emit
a slight odour; this is normal and should disappear after a few minutes of use.
4. Once the slow cooker has finished heating, turn the control dials to the LOW
position and allow it to cool for 20 minutes. When the appliance has fully
cooled down, remove the ceramic pots from the base unit using oven gloves or
tongs, and pour the water out.
5. Rinse the ceramic pots in cold water, dry thoroughly, and place back inside the
base unit.
6. Your slow cooker is now ready for use.
Preparing Food:
1. Place the base of the slow cooker on a flat, dry, heat resistant surface.
2. Place your prepared ingredients into one or both of the cooking pots and
cover with the corresponding glass lid. Ensure the lids are centred. Fill each pot
between 1/2 and 3/4 capacity to avoid over or under-cooking. Do not overfill
the cooking pots.
3. Plug the slow cooker into the mains outlet.
CAUTION!
Make sure all of the temperature controls are set to the OFF position
before plugging in the appliance.
4. Select the desired temperature setting by turning the corresponding
temperature control dial to the required setting: LOW or HIGH.
Note:
Each of the two temperature selection dials controls the temperature for the
cooking pot nearest to it. The left-hand dial controls the temperature for the left-
hand cooking pot, and the right-hand dial controls the temperature for the right-
hand cooking pot. To simultaneously control the temperature for both pots, you will
need to use both dials at once and adjust each one separately.
5. When cooking is complete, turn the temperature control to the KEEP WARM or
OFF position. If turning the appliance off, unplug it from the power outlet.
CAUTION!
DO NOT use the KEEP WARM setting to cook food. DO NOT keep the
slow cooker on this setting for more than 4 hours.
6. Carefully remove the cooking pots from the slow cooker base.
CAUTION!
ALWAYS wear oven gloves when handling the slow cooker’s hot surfaces,
including the cooking pots and glass lids.
Note:
When removing the glass lids, tilt them so that the opening faces away from
you, to avoid being burnt by steam.
