5. In [[FFoolld deerr]], type the IP address or host name of the system where TotalFlow Print Server is
installed with the

folder.

9. O Op pttiioonna all:: Create a shortcut to the hot folder.
Each hot folder has the same name as its virtual printer.
1. Right-click the hot folder and select [[C Crreea attee sshhoorrttccuutt]].
You see a message asking if you want to create the shortcut on the desktop.
2. Click [[Y Yeess]].
10. Copy a file either to the hot folder on the mapped network drive or to the shortcut.
Submitting a Print Job from a Mac OS Hot Folder
Print jobs can be submitted from other computers in the network, including Mac OS systems.
To submit a print job from a Mac OS hot folder:
1. In TotalFlow Print Server, make sure that the [[H Hoott ffoolld deerrss]] network protocol is enabled.
See Enabling Protocols, p. 74 for instructions.
2. Edit the virtual printer and make sure that the values of [[JJoob b ssuub bm miissssiioonn m meetthhood d]] include [[H Hoott
ffoolld deerrss]].

3. In the Mac OS Finder, click [[G Goo]], then [[C Coonnnneecctt ttoo SSeerrvveerr… …]].
4. Type the IP address of TotalFlow Print Server with the
smb://
prefix, then click [[C Coonnnneecctt]].
5. Select [[G Guueesstt]], then click [[C Coonnnneecctt]].
6. Copy a PostScript or PDF file to the virtual printer’s hot folder.
The hot folder is in the
Printer
folder and has the same name as the virtual printer, for example,
Printer/Print
.
Submitting a Print Job Using FTP
You can use FTP to submit jobs to a virtual printer.
To submit jobs from a remote computer using FTP:
1. In TotalFlow Print Server, make sure that the [[FFTTPP]] and [[H Hoott ffoolld deerrss]] network protocols are
enabled.

2. Edit the virtual printer where you want to submit the job and make sure that the values of [[JJoob b
