Controlling the Monitor from a PC via LAN
When controlling the monitor from a PC using LAN, use socket communication in which an IP
address and port number are specified. The monitor will be the server, and the PC will be the client.
Communication Example:
①
Make a TCP/IP connection from the PC to the monitor.
②
Obtain a communication stream.
③
Send a command.
④
Close the communication stream and TCP/IP connection.
The commands are the same as for RS-232C. (Appendix VI: Serial Command List)
Note:
1.
Leave 700 msec or more between sending the command and closing the communication
stream and TCP/IP connection. (Time is required to process the reply command from the
monitor.)
2.
When sending continuous commands, leave 3 sec or more between each command.
3.
The monitor uses single thread processing. Only one control PC can be connected. The
monitor cannot be controlled from multiple PCs.
Monitor Settings
Change the "Wake Up From Sleep" setting in the "Advanced" menu to
Digital, RS232, Ethernet
