4.13 Removing/Replacing the System Board
To remove the T2000SXe System Board:
1.
The battery pack, optional modem (if installed), keyboard, speaker bracket, top cover
assembly, and HDD must be removed first. Refer to Sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.5, 4.7, 4.9, and 4.11
for instructions on how to remove these items before proceeding.
2.
Disconnect the sub battery cable (A) from PJ703 (B) on the system board. Leave the sub
battery in the computer (Figure 4-27).
3.
Disconnect the floppy disk drive cable (C) from PJ16 (D) on the system board (Figure 4-
27).
4.
Gently slide the modem connector (E) through the modem assembly housing (Figure 4-27).
5.
Remove the four 2.5 x 4 mm screws (F) securing the system board to the bottom cover
(Figure 4-27).

6.
Remove the
EXP
cover (G) on the back of the computer (Figure 4-28).
