Getting Started

Using external display devices

Directing the display output when you turn on the computer

Once you have connected an external display device, you can 
choose to use the internal display only, the external device only, or 
both simultaneously. 

You may need to change the input on your television or external 
display device. See the User’s manual for your external display 
device.

Some modes are only available with the appropriate device attached 
and turned on.

The quickest way to change the display output settings is to use the 
display hot key (

Fn + F5

):

To configure your display, select the output configuration option by 
pressing 

Fn + F5

.

Depending upon the type and number of external display 
devices connected to your computer, your available display 
options will vary, but will include some or all of the following:
