Appendix A: ISP.
A. IC502 Cortez ISP
Setting up ISP Connection for Cortez (IC502)
The following is a list of procedure that guides the user how to setup serial ISP connection for Cortez:
1.
Enter OSD Select GENERAL SETTING then select to FACTORY RESET
Use a remote control key in “2005” ,Enter factory mode use remote control Key in “3”,you can see red word “UART
ON”
2. Open GProbe program. The version of GProbe software should be 4.1.0.2 or above.
3. Press “F10” key on the keyboard. A “GProbe Connection Setup” window should pop-up automatically. The
configuration for Serial ISP are described as follows:
Serial Connection
Protocol Serial1
Port COM1
Speed 115200
Press “OK” after configuration setting is done.
4. On the command window (at the bottom of the GProbe screen), execute the batch file called “DVR42_8Bit.txt”. The
location of this file is under \DVR42\ISP\batch\ directory; therefore, the user can type the following line in the
command window: batch “c:\DVR42\ISP\batch\ DVR42_8Bit.txt” then click
The content of DVR42_8Bit.txt file is described as follows:
Before running the batch file, please make sure that *.hex file exists and being placed under proper directory. Also other
driver files exist in the directory described above.
