To select the sound type/To reset the audio settings
Using the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu to select
sound type
In the Audio menu, press
P to highlight Sound
Type.
Press
to select the
desired sound type.
To reset the audio settings
In the Audio menu, press
P to highlight Audio
Reset.
Press
/OK to reset all
the settings in the Audio
menu to the default values of
Flat mode.

The options for sound type are different based on the input
source you are using.

Stereo programs
When a stereo program is
received, Stereo is
displayed on the screen.
Press
to toggle
between the stereo and
mono modes.
Bilingual programs
When a bilingual program
is received, Dual

appears.
Press
to select the
sound to be heard. The
sound differs according to
the transmission system:
NICAM or German stereo/
bilingual broadcast.

If you experience noise or poor reception of any stereo/bilingual program, set the Sound Type to "Mono".
Noise will be reduced and reception may improve.
