Using the Lift Assist Lever

The lift assist lever is used along with the
height-of-cut lever for raising the mower. This
allows for easier raising of the mower.

1. Place your foot onto lift assist lever.

2. Press on the lift assist lever while pulling up on

the height-of-cut lever (Figure 25).

Positioning the Seat

The seat can move forward and backward.
Position the seat where you have the best control
of the machine and are most comfortable.

Important:

To adjust, move the lever

sideways to unlock seat (Figure 26).

Slide the seat to the desired position and release
lever to lock in position.

Figure 26

1. Adjustment lever

Unlatching the Seat

Push the seat latch rearward to unlatch the seat.
This will allow access to the machine under the
seat (Figure 27).

Pushing the Machine by

Hand

Important:

Always push the machine

by hand. Never tow the machine because
hydraulic damage may occur.

Pushing the Machine

1. Disengage the power take off (PTO) and

turn the ignition key to off. Move the levers
to neutral locked position and apply parking
brake. Remove the key.

2. Rotate the by-pass valves counterclockwise

1 turn to push. This allows hydraulic fluid to
by-pass the pump enabling the wheels to turn
(Figure 28).

Important:

Do not rotate by-pass valves

more than 1 turn. This prevents valves
from coming out of the body and causing
fluid to run out.
