The blade-control switch (PTO) starts and stops the
mower blades and any powered attachments.

Note:
Engaging the blade-control switch (PTO) with
the throttle position at half or less causes excessive
wear to the drive belts.

Starting the Engine
Important:
Do not engage starter for more than 5
seconds at a time. If the engine fails to start, wait
15 seconds between attempts. Failure to follow
these instructions can burn out the starter motor.
Note:
You may need multiple attempts to start the
engine the first time after adding fuel to an empty fuel
system.
