Checking the Transaxle-Fluid
Level
Service Interval:

Fluid Type:
SAE 10W-30 (API service SJ or higher)

Move the machine to a level surface, shut off the
machine, engage the parking brake, and remove the key.
2.
Remove the fill plug on the transaxle (

If the fluid level is low, remove the fill plug and add the
specified fluid until it runs out of the hole (

Replace the fill plug and torque it to 20 to 27 N∙m (15
to 20 ft-lb).
Changing the Transaxle Fluid

Remove the fill plug and the seal (

Remove the drain plug and the seal, and allow the fluid
to drain completely (

4.
Install the drain plug and seal, and torque it to 20 to 27
N∙m (15 to 20 ft-lb).
5.
Fill the transaxle with the specified fluid until it runs
out of the fill hole.
6.
Install the fill plug and seal, and torque it to 20 to 27
N∙m (15 to 20 ft-lb).
