Servicing the Engine Oil
Service Interval:
After the first 5 hours
Every 100 hours (Change the oil twice as
often during special operating conditions; refer
to
Maintaining the Machine under Special
Operating Conditions (page 28)
).
Note:
Change the oil more frequently when operating
conditions are extremely dusty or sandy.
Note:
Dispose of the used engine oil and oil filter at a
certified recycling center.

Oil Type:
API service class SJ or higher detergent oil

Checking the Engine-Oil Level

Before each use or daily
Note:
The machine is shipped with oil in the
crankcase; however, check the oil before and after
you start the engine.
Note:
The best time to check the engine oil is when
the engine is cool before it has been started for the
day. If you have already run the engine, allow the oil
to drain back down to the sump for at least 10 minutes
before checking. If the oil level is low, add oil to bring
the oil level to the Full mark. Do not overfill.
