
Removing Hydraulic System Filters
1.
Stop engine, wait for all moving parts to stop, and
allow engine to cool.
2.
Remove the key and engage the parking brake.
3.
Locate the filter and guards on each transaxle drive
system (Figure 52).

Remove three screws securing the filter guard and
remove the guard (Figure 52).
Note:
It is important that no dirt or contamination
enter hydraulic system.
5.
Carefully clean area around filters.
6.
Place a container below the filter to catch the oil that
drains when the filter and vent plugs are removed
(Figure 53).

Locate and remove the vent plug on each transmission
8.
Rotate the filter counterclockwise to remove the filter;
allow oil to drain from drive system.
Repeat this procedure for both filters.
