
Starting the Engine
1.
Sit down on the seat and move the motion controls
outward to the park position.
2.
Disengage the blades by moving the blade control
switch to Off (Figure 12)

Pull up on the Choke control before starting a cold
engine (Figure 13).
Note:
A warm or hot engine may not require choking.

Turn the ignition key to Start to energize the starter.
When the engine starts, release the key (Figure 14).
Important:
Do not engage the starter for more
than 10 seconds at a time. If the engine fails to
start, allow a 60 second cool-down period between
attempts. Failure to follow these instructions can
damage the starter motor.
