8.
Raise the cutting wheel until center of cutting wheel is
just above top of the stump.
9.
With the cutting wheel off to one side, release the
parking brake and advance the machine forward, reset
the parking brake.
10.
Continue sweeping and cutting wheel left and right
across stump, advancing the machine before each
sweep, cutting 1/2 inch to 1 inch depth of cut with
each sweep.
11.
Continue cutting until top level of stump is all removed,
making sure not to cut stump deeper than ground level
during this first stage.
12.
Release the throttle so that it is in Disengaged position,
push the handle down enough to raise the cutting
wheel off the ground. Wait ten seconds for the cutting
wheel to stop rotating then release the brake and pull
the machine away from the stump.
13.
Rake the chips away from the stump.
14.
Move the machine to the front of the stump and set
the parking brake.
15.
Hold the throttle against the handle so that it is in
engaged position, this will engage the centrifugal clutch
and the cutting wheel rotates.
16.
Continue cutting until the level of stump is deeper than
ground level as desired.
17.
Stop the machine; refer to
Stopping the Engine (page 10).
Note:
Do not
let the front of the unit touch the
ground until you are sure the cutting wheel has stopped
turning.
DANGER
A rotating cutting wheel is very dangerous and
can cut and amputate hands and feet.
Stay at the operating position and be sure that
