Securing the Storage
Compartment
Parts needed for this procedure:

Push nut (3/8 inch)
Procedure
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, lower the
cutting unit or attachment, engage the parking
brake, and shut off the engine, and remove the
key.
2.
Unlatch and raise the hood. Use the prop rod
to hold it in place.
3.
Remove the 2 flange head bolts securing the
storage compartment support bracket to the
frame (
).

4.
Install the flange head bolts into the storage
compartment support bracket using push nuts
(3/8 inch).
5.
Secure the storage compartment support
bracket with the flange head bolts.

Installing the Shield(s)
Parts needed for this procedure:

Right shield

Rear shield
2
U-bolt
2
Flange nut
For Models Equipped with a
Kubota Engine
1.
Loosely install the right shield to the right rear
frame tube with a U-bolt and 2 flange nuts
(
).
2.
Locate the shield on the tube as follows:
•
If the machine is equipped with a cab, insert
the clamp through the hole in the frame cross
member.
•
If the machine is not equipped with a cab,
position the shield so the edge is 38 mm
(1.44 inches) from the radiator support.
