Blade spindles for Standard series cutting units have cast aluminum spindle
housings, sealed ball bearings, 25 mm (1 inch) spindle shafts, and are designed
to use 5.1 mm (0.20 inch) thick blades.
Disassembling the Blade Spindle

for this procedure.
1. Remove the lock nut, disc spring washer, pulley, and bearing guard from
the top of the spindle shaft.
2. Remove the spindle shaft and bottom guard from the spindle housing.
3. Being careful not to damage the spindle housing bore, remove the bearings
and bearing spacer from the spindle housing. Discard the bearings.
4. Inspect the drive studs. Use an arbor press to replace any drive studs if
necessary.
