Maintenance 

 

Note:  

The left and right sides of the machine are determined while sitting in the seat in the 

normal operating position.

If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone could accidentally start the engine 
and seriously injure you or other bystanders. 

 

•

 

Remove the key from the ignition and disconnect the wire from the spark plug before 
you do any maintenance.  Set the wire aside so that it does not accidentally contact the 
spark plug.

 

 
 

 

 

Debris built up in the engine compartment, if not removed, could be ignited by a hot 
engine.  A fire in the engine compartment can burn you and others and can damage 
property. 

 

•

 

Before using and while the engine is cool, check for debris in the engine compartment.

 

•

 

Keep the machine free of grass, leaves, or other debris build-up.

 

•

 

Clean up oil or fuel spillage and fuel soaked debris.

 

•
