6. Squeeze the ends of the hose clamps together and

slide them away from the filter (Figure 56).

7. Remove the filter from the fuel lines.

8. Install a new filter and move the hose clamps close

to the filter (Figure 56).

9. Open the fuel shutoff valve.

Note:

It is important to reinstall the fuel line hoses and

secure with plastic ties the same as they were originally
installed at the factory to keep the fuel line away from
components that could cause fuel line damage.

Servicing the High Pressure
Fuel Filter

Do not attempt to service the high pressure fuel filter.
The high pressure filter is integrated within the fuel
pump module. The fuel filter and other components
inside the fuel pump module are not servicable.

Do Not

attempt to open the fuel pump module.

Ensure that an Authorized Service Dealer replaces the
fuel pump module with the high pressure fuel filter.

Servicing the Fuel Tank

Do not attempt to drain the fuel tank. Ensure that an
Authorized Service Dealer drains the fuel tank.
