6. Install the radiator cap.
7. Remove the coolant hose from the engine-oil
cooler (
Figure 123 ).

8. After draining the engine coolant, close the drain
valve on the radiator drain hose and connect the
coolant hose.
9. Remove the cap of the expansion tank and fill
it to the Low mark with engine coolant. Install
the cap.
10. Start and run the engine until it reaches
operating temperature.
11. Check the engine-coolant level; refer to
Checking the Engine-Cooling System (page 80) .
12. Add coolant to the expansion tank to bring the
coolant level to the Full mark.
13. Check all engine-coolant-hose connections for
leaks.
