Understanding the
Operator Presence
Controls
Note:
The engine shuts off if you leave the seat
without engaging the parking brake.
Engine Start Lockout:
You can start the engine
only when the forward/reverse travel pedal is in the
N
EUTRAL
position, the cutting unit drive switch is in the
O
FF
position, and the parking brake is engaged.
Engine Run Interlock:
Once you start the engine,
you must be seated before you disengage the parking
brake for the engine to continue to run.
Cutting Unit Drive Lockout:
The drive to the cutting
units is only possible when you are seated. If you rise
from the seat for a period of more than 1 second, a
switch is activated and the drive to the cutting units is
automatically disengaged. To engage the drive to the
cutting units, you must return to the seat, then operate
the cutting unit drive switch to the O
FF
position before
moving it back to the O
N
position. If you rise off the
seat for a moment during normal work, drive to the
cutting units is not affected.
