Preparing the Machine
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
2. Disengage the blade-control switch.
3. Move the motion-control levers outward to the

-L
OCK
position.
4. Engage the parking brake.
5. Lower the mower deck to the lowest height of
cut.
6. Shut off the engine and remove the key.
7. Disconnect the negative-battery cable.

Removing the Existing
Front Bumper
No Parts Required
Procedure
1. Remove the 2 torx-head screws securing the
front bumper (
Figure 1 ).
Retain the 2 torx-head screws for later
installation.
2. Remove the front bumper ( Figure 1 ).
