Fully insert the dipstick down into the dipstick
tube, then pull the dipstick out and check the oil
level.
Note:
If the oil level is between the Full and
Add oil-level marks, you do not need to add oil;
skip to step
.
5.
If the oil level is low, at the right side of the
engine—remove the oil-fill cap (
) and
gradually add small amounts of oil, checking the
level frequently, until the level reaches the Full
mark on the dipstick.
Important:
Keep the engine-oil level
between the upper and lower limits on
the dipstick. Overfilling or underfilling the
engine oil may cause severe engine damage.

Remove the oil filler cap.
3.
Align a drain pan under the drain plug.
4.
Remove the drain plug (
) and let the
oil drain into the pan.
