Procedure

1.

Park the machine on a level surface, disengage the
tractor PTO, and engage the parking brake of the
tractor and the parking brake of the trailed mower.

2.

Lower the cutting units to the ground.

3.

Turn off the tractor engine and remove the ignition key.

4.

Remove all control cables from the lift and override
control valves

5.

Remove the nuts and bolts securing the existing
control-lever bracket to the machine (

Figure 1

).

6.

Remove and discard the control levers and the bracket.

7.

Disconnect all hose connections to the override valve
(

Figure 2

), and remove the hose that connects to the

rear pump.

Disconnect all hose connections to the lift control
valve (

Figure 2

).

9.

Remove the lift control valve and the override control
valve from the machine.

10.

Fasten the control-box bracket to the existing lift-valve
mounting bracket on the front of the chassis using 2
setscrews (8 x 25 mm), 4 plain washers (8 mm), and 2
locknuts (8 mm); refer to

Figure 3
