Introduction
Product Mission
Tornado’s SWB 26/8 was developed to be an industry leading battery powered, walk-behind sweeper,
designed for use on carpeting, as well as hard floor surfaces.
In carpet applications, when cleaning an airport terminal, dining hall, or any other large area, the SWB
26/8 offers more than double the productivity of a traditional, corded, wide area vacuum. The versatility
of the unit allows for cleaning hard floor surfaces as well, and with an operating decibel level below 70
dB, cleaning during the day or in noise sensitive areas is no longer an issue.
The SWB 26/8 operates in an “overthrow” fashion, allowing for maximum use of the debris
bin. “Overthrow” operation lifts the debris up and over the brush and “throws” it into in the debris bin.
This fills the debris bin to its maximum capacity, unlike a “dustpan” design which only partially fills the
debris bin making dumps and refills more frequent. Incorporating sealed, maintenance free, AGM
(Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries, which meet LEED and CIMS-GB standards, the SWB 26/8 maximizes
performance from the 24volt system.
While the type of floor surface will impact run time, the SWB 26/8 operates for approximately two (2)
hours on a single charge. With the on-board charger and the AGM batteries, the unit can be charged
any time it’s sitting idle (opportunity charged). Unlike traditional lead acid batteries, there is no need to
wait for AGM batteries to completely discharge before recharging them. The SWB 26/8 can be re-
charged after ten (10) minutes of use or anytime the unit is sitting idle!
Many of the distinctive features of the SWB 26/8 give your customers options and flexibility to use the
machine for multiple cleaning applications, saving them time and money. And remember, this dual-
purpose machine is effective for cleaning carpets as well as hard floor applications, both indoors and
outdoors.
