Attaching the Machine Arm
The Machine Arm is a separately purchased
accessory that many machine owners find useful. It
can be mounted on either the PCNC control cabinet
for right hand mounting, or directly on the cast iron
column for left hand mounting as shown in Figure 26.
All PCNC mills come with mounting holes for both
locations.
Figure 27 shows a machine
arm configured for holding a
tool tray. The arm is
mounted to the mill column
using the 4 bolts, washers
and lock washers provided.
For mounting to the control
panel insert the provided
bolt and small washer
through the mounting
bracket and through the
hole in the cabinet. Use
the large fender washer,
small washer, lock washer
and nut on the inside of the
cabinet.
Figure 27 shows the
machine arm configured for
use with a computer
monitor and Figure 29
shows a machine with both
arms in the suggested
configuration.
