Connecting the Serial Cables
Connect the serial (RS-232C) cables for the FC-1000 data collector,
computer, modem, etc., to the GB-500's serial ports. The receiver
has three serial ports: A, B and C. Each serial port corresponds to a
specific external device (Figure 2-5):
• Port A – FC-1000 controller
• Port B – Computer
• Port C – Modem
Above each port is a colored mark: yellow for port A, green for port
B, and white for port C. The red mark indicates the power port.

TIP
Attach colored stickers to the cables that correspond to
the colored mark above the receiver’s serial ports.
The GB-500's rubber caps function to maintain water proofing and
are a little tight. When complete water proofing is required, be sure
to push the caps all the way in.
