The  Canon  L50  (6812A001AA)  is  the  toner 

cartridge  most  frequently  found  in  the  Canon 

imageCLASS D660, D661, D680, D760, D761, 

D780, D860, D861, D880, PC-1060, PC-1060, 

PC-1080F,  SmartBase  PC-1210D,  SmartBase 

PC-1230D, SmartBase PC-1270D and all other 

machines using the same underlying “engine” 

(figure 1).

This toner cartridge is quite easy to refill using 

our  ReChargX™  RX077  Premium  Print  Toner 

Refill Kit.

Within  these  ReChargX™  RX077  Premium 

Print  Toner  Refill  Kit  instructions,  we  will  be 

adding new toner, removing the waste toner 

and replacing the reset chip.

Step 1: Plug in the Hole-Making Tool

Plug in the hole-making tool included with the 

ReChargX™ Tool Kit. 

Turn the sand timer over and wait the full three 

minutes  before  using  the  tool  so  it  reaches 

proper operating temperature; this ensures the 

tool will easily penetrate the cartridge  housing 

(figure 2).

Step 2: Locating the Toner Hopper Hole

Place  the  cartridge  down  on  a  table  with  the 

handle closest to your body like if you were  

loading it back into the printer. 

The toner hopper hole will be located in the lower 

right corner where the embossed image of a  

thermometer is found as shown by the circle in 

figures 3a and 3b.
