slide the comb on the cutting head until it locks into the de-
sired position. Please note that you should work slowly and
very accurately when using the comb in order to achieve the
required cut quality.
Cleaning and maintenance
In order to ensure the full functioning and performance of
your hair clippers, you should clean and oil the device regu-
larly.
Cleaning and oiling the cutter edge: The cutter edge should
be thoroughly cleaned once a day if used regularly. Switch
off the device. Push the entire cutting edge forward away
from the hair clippers. Remove hair using the cleaning brush
or by blowing. Oil the points where the upper and lower clip-
ping blades touch using the oil included.
Never use any other products for maintenance: This oil has
been specially developed for hair clippers and designed to
not vapourise or slow down the blades.
Attaching the cutter edge: Ensure that the hair clippers are
switched off. First position the lower catch in the notches on
the device and then push the cutter edge upwards using a
swivelling movement. Do not use force. The cutter edge must
clearly lock into place.
Cleaning the device: Wipe your device occasionally using a
damp cloth and then rub dry.
Always keep the electrical charge contacts clean: If the
charge contacts on the device or on the charging station be-
come dirty, this can interrupt or inhibit the charging process.
Replacing the blade head
The blade head is subject to wear. Even if you look after the
appliance, the cutting performance will deteriorate. Once the
blade head is worn, it should be replaced. The blade head
can be ordered separately as a spare part.
NiMh
Disposal of battery
There is an NiMH battery in this electrical device.
The battery must be dismantled for disposal (see
below). The battery must under no circumstances be dis-
posed of in household waste. Spent batteries may contain
pollutants which can be harmful to the environment and to
health. Trade the battery in or hand it in to your community’s
recycling centre. Returning them is free and required by law.
All batteries are reused. This allows valuable raw materials
such as iron, zinc, or nickel to be regained.
WARNING:
Without the battery, the device may neither be connected to
the power cable nor placed in the connected charging sta-
tion. Both can lead to the destruction of the electronics.
Removing the battery (Note: Should only be done to dis-
pose of the electronic device. This destroys the machine!)
1. Completely discharge the battery.
2. Remove the cutting head (Image 1). 3. Loosen the screws
on the underside of the casing
4. Push out the inner part from below (Image 2)
5. Remove the battery
