General
• Read these instructions carefully and keep them in a
safe place.
• Only use the appliance as described in this instruction
manual.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when it is
switched on.
• Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with limited or impaired
physical, sensory or mental capacities or with
insufficient knowledge or experience, except under
suitable supervision or instruction from a person
with responsibility for their safety in respect to the
appliance.
• Check the power cord and the appliance regularly for
damage and leaks. Do not use the appliance if it or
its power cord is damaged.
• Always have the appliance repaired solely by a
qualified service centre.
Electricity and heat
• Before use, check that the power supply voltage is the
same as the voltage indicated on the appliance.
• Only connect the appliance to an earthed plug socket.
• If you use an extension lead, then make sure you use
an earthed extension lead.
• Pull the plug to remove the plug from the plug socket.
Do not pull the power cord.
• Do not allow the power cord to come into contact with
hot surfaces or steam.
• This appliance gets very hot during use. You may
suffer a serious burn if you touch hot parts of the
appliance.
• The appliance needs space to allow heat to escape,
thereby preventing the risk of fire. Make sure that the
appliance has sufficient space around it, and does
not come into contact with flammable materials. The
appliance must not be covered.
• Always unplug the appliance before moving it or
when it is not in use.
• Don't use the appliance in the direct vicinity of heat
sources such as a cooker or an oven.
• Pay attention to steam and hot water during use.
