Cowl latch
Removing the recoil starter
1. Loosen the three bolts (
A
,
B
,
C
) fasten-
ing the tank. (Don’t remove the tank
fastening bolts.)
2. Remove the three bolts (
D
,
E
,
F
) fas-
tening the recoil starter.
3. Remove the recoil starter.
4. Tighten the three bolts (
A
,
B
,
C
) fas-
tening the tank and one bolt (
D
) fasten-
ing the recoil starter.
Confirm that the shift lever is at Neutral
(N) position.
Wrap a rope around the starter pulley
then pull quickly to start.
Use a 10 mm socket wrench as a rope
handle.
Reinstall top cowl after engine starts.
