3. Place the inner pot in the base and turn the inner pot clockwise and counter-
clockwise to ensure it is sitting properly in the base. Place lid on the inner pot.
4. Plug cord into a 120 volt wall outlet.
5. Push down on the switch to begin cooking. The “COOK” light will be illuminated
indicating the rice is cooking.
6. When the rice is done, the switch will pop up and the “WARM” button will be
illuminated. It is recommended to leave the cover on for 15 minutes to steam the
rice. CAUTION: When opening the lid, use an oven mitt as steam can cause burns.
7. Unplug and serve.
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do
not try to repair it yourself. Any servicing requiring disassembly must be performed by a
qualified appliance repair technician.
1. Before cleaning, unplug from outlet and allow to cool completely.
2. Wash inner pot, lid and accessories with warm water and mild detergent, rinse,
and dry thoroughly. Clean the outside of the rice cooker with a clean damp cloth.
NEVER IMMERSE THE RICE COOKER OR CORD IN WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUID.
Do not place in the dishwasher.
3. NEVER USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS OR SCOURING PADS TO CLEAN THE
RICE COOKER, AS THOSE MAY DAMAGE THE SURFACES.
4. To clean the heating plate, use steel wool to polish or remove any residue then wipe
with a damp cloth. Allow to cool completely before re-using.
To store, be sure all parts are clean and dry. Store appliance in its box or in a clean, dry
place. Never store it while it is hot or wet. Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance;
keep it loosely coiled.
