GROUNDED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug.
(2 blades and 1 pin) If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical
outlet contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way
or use an adaptor.
HOW TO USE YOUR TOASTESS PORTABLE COOKING RANGE
Any flat-bottomed pot or container that can be used on a conventional electric
stove element can also be used on the Toastess Portable Cooking Range.
For maximum heat transfer, cookware that has a solid perfectly flat bottom is
recommended. Cookware made from solid aluminum or some other material
with an encapsulated aluminum base will provide the best results. Any cook-
ware can be used to reheat but if maximum energy is required, such as boiling
water, please use the recommended cookware.
1. Place the Portable Cooking Range onto a smooth, dry, flat surface. Be
sure that knob is in the 'Off' position and plug into any 120 Volt A.C. outlet.
2. Place filled cookware on element. NOTE: Do not preheat before using.
3. Turn Control Knob clockwise to desired setting. The Indicator Light
will glow and go ‘on’ and ‘off’ as the selected temperature is
automatically maintained.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT preheat before using. DO NOT switch on before cookware
is placed on the element.
CARE AND CLEANING
1. Unplug unit and allow to cool.
2. Both the outside of the unit and the drip pan should be cleaned with a
cloth or sponge dampened in warm soapy water. Clean the drip pan by
raising the element slightly. NEVER USE ABRASIVE CLEANSERS.
3. NEVER IMMERSE THIS UNIT IN WATER.
